UFC stars Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal were involved in an altercation on Monday night outside of a Miami Beach steakhouse.
The two were seen in video obtained by TMZ just outside of Papi Steak late on Monday night. Masvidal is seen being held back after charging at Covington, and can be heard screaming, “Don’t talk about my kids,” at Covington.
Covington was later spotted surrounded by police.
“He’s over here swinging, trying to come at me, and I ran,” Covington told police in the video before asking a friend, “How would [Masvidal] know I’m here?”
Masvidal has tweeted about the incident multiple times since.
Good morning to everyone except those that think talking about someone’s kids is cool

“What’s up, I’m from Dade County,” Masvidal said. “You talk that s*** you got to back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”
Covington has yet to respond, and hasn’t tweeted in weeks.
Miami Beach police said on Tuesday that Covington told them that Masvidal “ran up to him from his left and without notice punched him with a closed fist two times in the face,” according to MMAFighting.com. Covington sustained a fractured left front tooth and an abrasion on his left wrist, per the report.
Masvidal is a suspect in the investigation and could face a possible battery charge.
Monday’s altercation comes just weeks after Covington’s dominant win over Masvidal at UFC 272 in Las Vegas. Covington currently lives in South Florida, and called himself the “f***ing King of Miami” after his win earlier this month. Masvidal, 37, is a Miami native.
