UFC Vegas 36 medical suspensions: Darren Till, Paddy Pimblett potentially out 6 months with injuries

Injuries from Darren Till’s latest loss could keep him out of action until next year.

Derek Brunson defeated Till by third-round submission to cap off a dominant performance in the main event of UFC Vegas 36 this past Saturday. It was the fifth straight win for Brunson and the fourth loss in five fights for Till. According to the official list of medical suspensions acquired by mixedmartialarts.com, Till is facing a potential six-month medical suspension due to facial injuries suffered in the fight.

Till requires a CT scan and clearance from an ENT (eye, nose, and throat) doctor to avoid being on the shelf until March 4, 2022. Other fighters from Saturday’s card listed as potentially being out for six months are Tom Aspinall (right hand), Alex Morono (left knee), David Zawada (nose), Khalil Rountree (left hand), Modestas Bukauskas (nose, left knee), Paddy Pimblett (right thumb), Molly McCann (hands), and Jack Shore (left shoulder).

Bukauskas appearing on the list is a surprise to no one as he suffered one of the roughest losses at UFC Vegas 36 when Rountree stopped him with an oblique kick. The finish sparked debate among fighters, fans, and media as to whether the leg strike should be banned.
