Troy Deeney Capture Sees Support For Birmingham City Promotion

Birmingham City are coming in for increased support for promotion from the Championship after sealing the transfer of Troy Deeney from Watford.

The 33-year old scored 140 goals at the Hornets and penned a two-year deal at his boyhood club on Monday after bringing down the curtain on an 11-year spell at Vicarage Road.

Now Deeney is being backed the help lead the Blues to Premier League promotion, a prospect that was cut into 11/1 from 14/1 within 24 hours of the announcement.

The new number 36 is in line to make his Birmingham City bow in front of the Sky Sports cameras against Derby County on Friday September 10th and is a 6/4 shot to bag a debut goal and 5/1 to finish the season as the Blues’ top goalscorer.

They had already attracted some significant stakes after the big away win at Luton, but our liabilities are growing further, forcing us down to 11/1 from 14/1 about Premier League football next season.
