Stoke to continue their fine start
Bet 1: Back Stoke @ 11/20 – KO 19:45 BST
The Potters have made a great start to their season, taking 10 points from their opening four Championship matches and beating Fleetwood in the Carabao Cup.
Doncaster, meanwhile, are 23rd in League One, having lost three and draw one of their four games. They did knock Walsall out in the last round of this competition, but they needed penalties to do so.
Michael O’Neill will likely make changes for this clash, but they have home advantage and are in much better form. It should be relatively smooth sailing for the hosts.
Benitez to deliver at the John Smith’s
Bet 2: Back Everton @ 8/13 – KO 19:45 BST
If there is one way that Rafa Benitez can win over the Everton fans completely, it would be to win a trophy. The Carabao Cup is the easiest one of the lot, so I expect him to take the competition a bit more seriously than he did when at Liverpool.
They enter in the second round at Huddersfield, and after a win and a draw in the Premier League, the Toffees have made a decent start to their season.
The Terriers have done well too, taking seven points from a possible 12 in the Championship, but this is a big step-up, and I expect Everton to get the job done.
Oxford to be turned over at Loftus Road
Bet 3: Back QPR @ 17/20 – KO 19:45 BST
Mark Warburton’s QPR kept their undefeated start to the season going against Barnsley on Saturday, coming from 2-0 down at home to draw with Barnsley.
This evening they host Oxford in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with the game coming hot on the heels of the U’s first loss.
Karl Robinson’s side were beaten 2-1 at Bolton, and while they had won their previous two, they both came in front of their own fans.
