In the last NHL expansion draft back in 2017 for the Sharks’ now rival Vegas Golden Knights, the Sharks also protected Couture, Hertl, Burns and Vlasic.

David Schlemko was the lone Sharks player to be selected in the last expansion draft, but he was promptly traded by the Golden Knights just a few days later.

We’ll see how many, or if any Sharks wind up being selected to join the Kraken in Seattle on Wednesday night at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
