The Daily Acca: United’s second string to be beaten by Leicester

There are two games from the Premier League and from Serie A sandwiched in-between for Paul Robinson’s Daily Acca today. Here are his selections:

Leicester to take advantage of a weak United

Bet 1: Back Leicester @ 15/8 – KO 18:00 BST

The postponement of Manchester United’s match against Liverpool to this Thursday has handed Brendan Rodgers a bit of a lifeline when it comes to the top four race, as there is no chance whatsoever that Ole Gunnar Solskjær names his best XI this evening.

The Norwegian went strong against both Roma and Aston Villa, so I wouldn’t expect to see Bruno Fernandes or even Marcus Rashford tonight – and Harry Maguire is out with an injury.

The Foxes need to bounce back from a dismal performance against Newcastle on Friday, but they tend to play their best against the top teams, and they are a bit of value to get what would be a massive three points at Old Trafford.

Napoli to solidify their place in the top four

Bet 2: Back Napoli @ 3/10 – KO 19:45 BST

Napoli’s improved form in the second half of the campaign has enabled them to put themselves right back in the race for a Champions League place. They are currently in fourth – one point ahead of Juventus, and only two points behind both Atalanta and AC Milan.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men should have no trouble in seeing off a Udinese side that are safely berthed in mid-table – especially one that has lost five of their last eight outings.

The hosts haven’t been beaten in Naples since January 6th – playing nine since and dropping only four points. The visitors have won their last two on their travels, but they were at Crotone and Benevento, with those two sides both in the relegation zone.

Eagles to fly at St Mary’s

Bet 3: Back Crystal Palace @ 13/5 – KO 20:15 BST
